FAQs
Why are you joining Altitude?
We built Acctual to make getting paid easy, but invoicing was only ever one piece of the picture. Our customers still had to go elsewhere for accounts, cards and moving money. Altitude is building all of that in one place, so instead of spending years rebuilding it ourselves, joining them gets our customers there now. The team is coming along and the product stays free.
What happens to my Acctual account?
Acctual keeps working as normal until September 30, so you can finish sending invoices and paying bills there through the end of the month. After that, invoicing and bill pay live on inside Altitude at no charge.
Do I need to do anything right now?
Yes, two things. Create an Altitude account, which takes a few minutes plus a short business verification, and export anything you want to keep from Acctual before September 30. Your Acctual account doesn't carry over automatically, so you'll be starting fresh on Altitude.
Will I need to complete KYB again?
Yes. Altitude runs its own business verification when you open an account, separate from what you did on Acctual. You'll need your formation documents, ownership records and proof of business activity, and each beneficial owner verifies their identity individually. Most reviews are completed within 2 business days, and you can set up your workspace and invite your team while you wait.
Will my Acctual data move over?
Not automatically. You'll set up a new account on Altitude and add your clients, vendors and invoice details there. Before September 30, download your invoice history and records from Acctual for your books. If you need help exporting anything, email support@altitude.xyz or join a live onboarding session and we'll walk you through it.
What happens to invoices I've already sent?
Invoices and payment links stay live and payable through September 30. After that, unpaid Acctual links stop working, so any invoice still outstanding should be reissued from Altitude. We'd suggest sending new invoices from Altitude starting now so nothing is in flight when the switch happens.
What about the bank details and wallet addresses Acctual generated for me?
Those stop working after September 30 too. Any payment sent to your old Acctual details after that date will be returned to the sender, so nothing gets lost, but the payment won't reach you. If any of your clients have saved your Acctual bank details or wallet addresses for recurring payments, let them know to share your new Altitude details before the switch so you don't miss a payment.
How much does Altitude cost?
Nothing. There are no setup or monthly fees, and invoicing and bill pay are included free. Altitude sponsors all ACH, wire and SEPA transfer fees, stablecoin transfers are free on every supported chain, deposits are free and moving between USDC and EURC costs nothing. The only fee in the product is $35 for SWIFT international wires.
Is my business eligible for Altitude?
Almost certainly. Altitude supports businesses in 220+ countries and territories, all with stablecoin accounts, and USD and EUR accounts are available in most of them after verification. A few regions have restrictions on specific products like the card or EUR accounts, so check the supported countries page if you're unsure.
Is Altitude a bank? Where do my funds sit?
Altitude is a financial technology platform, not a bank. Your funds sit in a self custodial smart account, meaning your business holds the keys, protected by enterprise-grade permissions and approval workflows you control.
How does the $1,000 welcome bonus work?
Sign up, activate your free Altitude Card and spend $25,000 on it within your first 90 days of KYB approval. You'll earn cashback on that spend as you go, up to 2% on travel, 1.5% on AI tools and SaaS and 1% on everything else, and the $1,000 lands as an account credit once you hit the threshold.
Do I have to use the rest of Altitude?
No. If invoicing and bill pay are all you need, use just those. The multi-currency accounts, cards and global payment rails are there whenever you're ready.
Who do I contact if I need help moving over?
The same people. The Acctual team is now part of Altitude. Email support@altitude.xyz, visit support.altitude.xyz or join one of the live onboarding sessions above and we'll get you set up personally.
